Addendum to this week's Dilworthian:

 

 

At our club meeting this week, Jim & Gloria Hintz from the Charlotte
University City Rotary Club will again be here with the beautiful hand-made
greeting cards from their International Vocational Service project in Alto
Cayma (Arequipa), Peru. The Hintzes spend 7-8 months a year in Alto Cayma,
working with the people there on various projects. 

 

They recently returned from Peru with 4,000 cards to sell during the spring
season, so they will have a wide variety of cards for Mother's Day,
graduation, and other spring/summer occasions to choose from without having
to wait or pay a shipping charge. In addition to selling individual cards,
they are featuring gift packs of 6 cards in an acryllic box for $25. These
are a really different gift idea for family, friends, and business
associates. 100% of the proceeds from these sales go back to the girls who
do this beautiful work. This project is now providing full-time employment
to 18 young women, so be sure to bring your checkbooks and help the people
of Alto Cayma help themselves through their own honest efforts.
