[Dilworthian] Another opportunity for service -- See the notice from International House on the need for hosts

The International House is sponsoring a group of Iraqi students and German
students to come to the US for 2-3 weeks.  Biran Hadley's son Kirk-who has
been a Rotary Ambassador-is a part of the program.  He will be spending 2
weeks in a camp with the kids from Iraq in Vermont.  Then, they come to
Charlotte.  Host families are needed when the kids are in Charlotte.   The

International House Seeks Home Hosts for Iraqi and German Youth Leaders

 

International House invites you to participate in citizen diplomacy in
Charlotte by opening your home to our international guests.  

 


Upcoming Visits


	

 


Iraqi Student Leaders - Group #1


Nine Iraqi students between the ages of 15 and 18 and one Iraqi adult will
visit Charlotte to study leadership, civic participation and the media.

 

Home hosts are needed for July 19 - 31. 

 


Iraqi Student Leaders - Group #2


A second group of nine Iraqi youth between the ages of 14 and 16 and one
adult leader will travel to Charlotte to learn about leadership and U.S.
culture.

 

Home hosts are needed for July 26 - August 5.

 


German Student Leaders


Nine German students between the ages of 15 and 18 will travel to our
community to study non-profits and civic participation.

 

Home hosts for this group are needed for August 6 - 12.  

 


Responsibilities of a Home Host 

 



*	Provide guest with morning and evening transportation to & from
International House. 
*	Provide guest with breakfast and dinner. 
*	Make your guest feel welcome in Charlotte.

*	Promote Charlotte and U.S. culture. 
*	Make new friends.
