Club Welcomes Danko Gulsoy to Membership

Charlotte Dilworth South End Rotary welcomed Erdogan (Danko) Gulsoy into
membership at the May 29 meeting. His sponsor, John Barringer, introduced
Danko to the club.

He is founder of CODANK Web Design & Development Company. Prior to founding
the company in 2006, Danko had worked two years as a software consultant for
Net Bank in Columbia, SC. He also worked as Vice-President and Chief
Technology Officer for Charlotte Technology Companies. Danko has a Civil
Engineering degree earned in Turkey. He

came to the United States in 2000 and studied at UNCC for three years and
earned a Master of Science in Information Systems from Strayer University.

After he was graduated in 2005, he married his wife, Carol. He says he has
no kids “at the moment.”

His hobbies are reading books and magazines, mostly about computers and
information science, and writing internet blogs. Danko says, “I definitely
spend at least five to six hours every week at bookstores.” He enjoys going
to movies, having cook-outs, swimming, and soccer. He is a member of various
commerce organizations, technology related user groups and organizations,
and Turkish Cultural Organizations.

Dilworthian Editor Seeks Participation to Improve Newsletter

Your editor is asking members of the club to help make The Dilworthian a
more informative and more attractive newsletter. Here are some of the ways
you can help:

*	If you are working on a club project – Habitat, Crisis Assistance,
USO, Social, etc., take pictures and send JPEG versions to Lamar Gunter at
gunter4283 at bellsouth.net.
*	If you personally receive a promotion in your job, change jobs,
retire, etc. send Lamar bullet point notes and he will write it.
*	If significant family events occur – children or grandchildren born,
children graduating from high school or college, etc. Let Lamar know.
Again, you don’t have to write it, just provide the information.
*	If you or an immediate family member experience an illness or
serious injury or if you know of a club member who does, let Lamar know.
*	Send Lamar reminders about STAR meetings, Socials, Habitat work
days, etc.
*	If you want to write a story about some aspect of Rotary or our
club’s operations, Lamar will welcome contributions from the members. We
have had a few in the past, but we have had too few contributions

.

Let’s all pitch in and make The Dilworthian one of the best club newsletters
in Rotary.
