Programs
Nov. 20 A native North Carolinian, George Preddy, was the top P-51
Mustang ace
of World War II. He shot down 27 enemy planes, five
in one dogfight. The
Greensboro natives brother, Bill, also was a P-51
fighter pilot. Preddy was
shot down and killed by friendly fire on Christmas
Day 1944. His brother,
Bill, also was shot down and killed on a combat
mission. Joe Noah, who
wrote a biography of George Preddy, will be our
guest. It promises to be
an interesting program. Please invite family,
friends and business
acquaintances.
