District 7680’s Sept. 19th Flight of Honor.

Welcome World War II Veterans Home

>From John Hanford Memorial Honor Flight

Rotarians are encouraged to join family and friends of the World War II
veterans at Charlotte Douglas International Airport to welcome them home
from their Oct. 20 Flight of Honor. The veterans on the John Hanford
Memorial Honor Flight will arrive sometime between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Rotarians should wear their Rotary shirts and hats and take children and
grandchildren along to greet the veterans who will be coming home from a day
in Washington, D.C. visiting the World War II Memorial and other sites of
interest. They will exit on the ticket level. Just look for the row of
flags the Patriot Guard will display.

This is Rotary District 7680’s third Flight of Honor. This flight was made
possible by a generous donation by former Senator Elizabeth Dole in honor of
her late brother, who was a Navy veteran of World War II serving on the
carrier Saratoga.
