the memorial serve for the late George Alexander, for years a member of our
club, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. If the service were scheduled
for 2:30 there wouldn’t be a problem. The obit with the details is

<p class=MsoNormal style='background:#F2F2F2'>George W. Alexander <br>
Mr. Alexander, 78, a former Charlotte resident, died December 26, 2009 at The
Villages, Florida. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1952, married
his college sweetheart, Dorothy Frey, in 1953, and served with the US Air Force
in Korea. After working with Celanese Corp. in international sales in New York
City, he and his family relocated to Charlotte where he sold textile machinery
and then insurance. He retired to The Villages in Florida in 2002. He was active
in Rotary and singing in the church choir in both Charlotte and The Villages. <br>
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark, in 1981. Surviving family members
include his wife, Dot, of The Villages; son, Doug of Anchorage, AK and
grandchildren, Eleanor and Keenan, and son, Rick, wife Ibbie and grandchildren,
Bailey and Hayes, of Charlotte. <br>
A Memorial Service will be conducted by Dr. Bill Katibah at Good Shepherd
Presbyterian Church on Friday, January 29 at 2 p.m. The family will receive
friends after the service. <br>
Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 3307 Rea
Rd., Charlotte, NC 28226. <o:p></o:p></p>
